Digital Technology Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Manager, Digital to join our IT Team at Equitable Life of Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a cross-functional software engineering team and drive technical strategy for our Individual Life Insurance - New Business technology platform.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and advance the technical health and performance of assigned assets, including a transformation from Angular & C# to React.
- Work with architects to develop the technology capability roadmap of assigned assets.
- Set technical vision and roadmap for assigned assets within a platform to support and enhance business outcomes.
- Manage the lifecycle of vendor platforms and overall vendor relationships.
- Enable and guide the team to deliver high-quality solutions in a sustainable and optimized manner.
- Identify, document, and implement end-to-end software development, quality, delivery, and support processes.
- Accountable for ensuring technical standards, guidelines, and principles are upheld by the team.
- Own the technology KPIs and prioritization of assigned assets.
- Set direction and vision for the team while guiding them through process implementation changes.
- Coordinate team member activities, monitor productivity, quality, and morale.
- Hold team members accountable for deliverables and high-quality work.
- Performance management of team members.
- 2+ years in a team leadership/management role in software solutions design and development.
- Hands-on working knowledge of React,.net/C#, APIs, SQL, design library systems, scrum delivery, testing automation, and enterprise-class software solution design and development.
- University degree or equivalent technical education.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership ability, teamwork, and cooperation.

- Excellent knowledge of code management, build and release, and quality practices.
- Ability to analyze system designs and review solutions for code and/or functional quality.
- Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
- Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems.
- Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
