About the Role

As a Process Control Engineer, you will be part of our systems department, reporting to the Automation, Technology and Systems Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze, identify, and design process improvements to enhance the quality, efficiency, yield, and safety of our paper manufacturing process.

You will work closely with our team to lead process improvements, manage between ideas and actualities, and develop solutions to optimize our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Advanced Process Control Strategies and loop tuning methods
  • Lead new technology implementation and control system upgrades
  • Participate in technical reviews and process control system troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain control system documentation, including control narratives, PFDs, and P&IDs
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Degree specialized in Process Control
  • ~ 5+ years' experience in process industry (pulp and paper experience is an asset)
  • ~ In-depth knowledge of Advanced Process Control Strategies and loop tuning methods
  • ~ Real-time optimization, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Machine Learning are definite assets
