Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Indian Sweet Master Waterloo. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.

Hire and Manage Staff

Hire food service staff, and manage their performance to ensure that they are meeting the high standards expected of our team.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Record Keeping

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators.

Communication

Prepare food order summaries for the chef, and supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Work Setting

Restaurant, fine dining establishment.

Security and Safety

Criminal record check required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Combination of sitting, standing, walking, with a focus on standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
