About the Job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Okcleans. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our clients' homes and properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Housekeeping and Organization: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
  • Customer Service: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Specialized Tasks: Handle and report lost and found items, perform tasks related to the Green economy sector, specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Housekeeping room attendant certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home, apartment/condominium complex, cleaning service company, various locations, commercial building, private residence, hotel, motel, resort, warehouse.
  • Transportation: Own transportation, own vehicle, willing to travel, willing to travel regularly, valid driver's licence, travel expenses not paid by employer, public transportation is available.
