Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant will work in collaboration with the building maintenance staff to ensure the exterior grounds, equipment, and buildings are well-maintained and in good condition. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings and equipment as required by quality assurance programs. The successful candidate will ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a harmonious working relationship.
- Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are properly maintained and used efficiently.
- Maintain work and equipment areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Perform other maintenance duties as required, within the scope of skills and capabilities.
- Notify the supervisor when additional help is needed.
- Perform all aspects of grounds maintenance.
- Maintain grounds-related equipment to the best of their ability.
- Operate various types of grounds equipment, such as mowers and weed eaters.
- Notify the supervisor of any specific training required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
