Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team at All Directions Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that our fleet is running efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor department performance and implement improvements as needed
- Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Recruit and supervise staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties
- Manage finances and budget, ensuring that our transportation operations are cost-effective and profitable
- Negotiate with service providers and vendors to secure the best rates and services
- Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that our fleet is properly stocked and maintained
- 11-15 years of experience in transportation management
- Proven track record of success in managing large fleets and teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
- Basic security clearance and bondability
