We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Team Member to join our team at Michaels. As a Store Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors, and collecting and disposing of trash.
- Provide excellent customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for.
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining a neat and orderly stockroom.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, and maintain a high level of visual appeal throughout the store.
- Support shrink and safety programs, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time, and move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Public retail store setting, taking care of our customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
