About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer Assistant to join our team at Jas Sewing Centre Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our upholstery team with various tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Management: Assist in checking and weighing materials and products, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Packaging and Shipping: Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products efficiently, meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Team Support: Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers in completing tasks and projects.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, physically demanding activities, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements
  • Training and Development: Willingness to learn and train in upholstery skills and techniques.
  • Work Schedule: Permanent position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • Language: Proficiency in English language.
