Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary training and support to excel in their roles.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash handling procedures to maintain accuracy and security.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure we have the right products on the shelves at the right time.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers, including scheduling and performance management.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting their performance goals and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
