We are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients and are seeking a skilled and dedicated nurse to support our team.
Job Summary:As a Nurse - Extended Role, you will be responsible for providing patient assessments and making diagnoses at a distance, as well as carrying out interventions that are typically reserved for doctors in other work environments. You will work in a multidisciplinary approach to support pregnant mothers, young children, and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide preventive services such as pre- and postnatal care, well-baby checkups, immunization, and breastfeeding support.
- Offer long-term follow-up and support services for families with children with special needs or psychosocial difficulties.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.
- Two (2) years of diversified experience as a nurse or One (1) year of experience as a nurse in an emergency room.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

Nurses who have completed the extended role training and have not successfully completed this training are excluded from this posting. However, the nurse who demonstrates a minimum one-year of new acute care experience since the training may request a reconsideration of this exclusion.
