Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Exterior Finishing Specialist to join our team at Superior Stucco Services. This role involves working with various materials to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces for both commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal education required
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Work Environment
  • Type: On-site work
  • Seasonal: Work may vary by season
  • Language: English
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply multiple layers of finishing compounds and smooth out seams and joints
  • Level and finish plaster coats to achieve a smooth surface
  • Prepare and clean surfaces prior to application
  • Ensure proper curing of newly plastered areas
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative elements as needed
  • Mix plaster components to achieve the desired texture and consistency
  • Install ornamental plaster features, including panels and cornices
  • Remove excess compound and allow layers to dry appropriately
  • Apply stucco coatings to building exteriors for weather resistance
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh for plaster application
  • Set up vapor barriers and insulation for thermal and acoustic performance
  • Work at heights using scaffolding or swing stages
  • Construct and dismantle scaffolding and other support structures
