Job Title: Service Manager - Fleet Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team at Recruitment Partners. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and equipment, ensuring that our clients' fleets are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of mechanics to ensure timely and effective repair of heavy trucks and equipment
  • Work closely with the parts department to ensure that all necessary parts and materials are available for repairs
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of our clients' fleets
  • Collaborate with operations managers to ensure that maintenance and repair activities are aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best possible service and pricing
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders and inventory levels
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce maintenance and repair costs
  • Provide training and guidance to mechanics and other staff members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Red Seal Mechanic certification is required
  • Experience overseeing heavy truck operations is essential
  • Familiarity with diagnostics and repairs is necessary
  • Proficiency with various diagnostics programs, with preference given to Fleetio
