Cross-Border Short-Haul Class 1/AZ Driver

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Bison Transport Full time

This regional route involves driving a tractor-trailer across the Canada/Midwest U.S. border, averaging 2,500 miles per week over a 5-6 day period.

  • The route covers the Midwest U.S. areas, including Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Nebraska, and Arkansas.
  • Drivers must be willing to drive in the Northeast U.S. if required.
  • The route typically involves returning to Ontario by the second or third day to reset and depart back into the U.S.
  • Additional work may be available, dependent on freight and hours of service.

Candidate Profile:

  • Company Driver with tractor-trailer experience.
  • Must be U.S. Qualified.
  • Must have a valid FAST card.
  • Must be able to drive on Highway 17 in Ontario 12 months a year.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lb. or more.
  • Must have a valid Class 1/AZ license.
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Values safety.
