MCAP is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless operation of our organization's network infrastructure, encompassing voice, data, video, and wireless services. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the security, stability, and integrity of these critical systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to assess capacity requirements for our network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network configurations, mapping, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and effectively resolve any system-related issues.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute tasks efficiently to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct thorough research on emerging network products, services, protocols, and industry standards.
- Oversee the implementation of equipment and software upgrades to enhance network performance and security.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed network solutions.
- Configure networks meticulously to ensure optimal operation for all business processes.
- Maintain meticulous records of network assets and continuously monitor network performance indicators.
- Actively participate in managing network security solutions and implementing robust system backups.
- Develop and test automated scripts to streamline routine network operations.
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve network issues promptly.
Your Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of proven experience in a similar network engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with WAN networks and a deep understanding of networking technologies and automation principles.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and firewall technologies is essential.
- Strong technical skills in TCP/IP, routing protocols, load balancing, and other relevant network concepts.
- A formal education in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certifications in networking are highly valued.
