As a Lead Software Engineer on our Product Development team, you will collaborate with a talented group of developers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA specialists to transform new product concepts into production-ready features that delight our users. In this senior position, you will also partner closely with Product Managers, leveraging your technical acumen to assess and influence roadmap initiatives prior to development cycles, while providing mentorship and guidance to Intermediate and Junior Developers within the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze complex customer challenges and requirements, collaborating with the Product team to create solutions that enhance value for our clients and the overall product.
- Work alongside team members to design and strategize new product features and modifications based on requirements and UI/UX designs.
- Contribute to and implement enhancements to the tools and processes utilized by the team for developing, testing, and delivering critical user-facing features consistently.
- Engage in code reviews, ensuring your team produces high-quality software.
- Advocate for all aspects of user experience, prioritizing clarity and efficiency.
- Participate in shaping the company and product vision, ideation, and planning.
- Mentor and support junior developers, serving as a resource for information and guidance.
- Proven experience in software development, particularly with production-level SaaS products, along with a track record of mentoring and coaching peers.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript, Python, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with front-end build, package management, and testing tools such as Webpack, NPM, Jest, and Cypress is a plus.
- Experience with version control, release management, and CI/CD workflows is advantageous.
- Competence in UI/UX design and a keen attention to detail are preferred.
- A consistent history of developing and maintaining highly scalable products is a plus.
- A passion for teamwork, emphasizing respect and continuous improvement.
- Timely delivery of new product features and enhancements.
- Promotion of clean, maintainable code and adherence to software development best practices.
- Effective communication and technical leadership within the team.
- Self-motivated, taking ownership of tasks while staying informed about the broader team's efforts.
