Job Overview

The Quit Clinic Inc. is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. This position is temporary and requires a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather medical histories from patients and their families.
  • Assess patients' health to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
  • Guide patients in developing healthy lifestyle choices and modifying harmful habits.
  • Request laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic evaluations to establish effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to assess patients' overall health.
  • Prescribe medications and implement treatment protocols.
  • Administer vaccinations to prevent and manage diseases.
  • Provide health advice and education to patients.
  • Report significant health events to relevant authorities.
  • Act as an advocate for patients' health needs.
  • Manage and coordinate primary care for patients.
  • Deliver acute care management as required.
  • Offer counseling and support to patients and their families regarding various health and lifestyle matters.
  • Provide emergency medical care when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Possess certification from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
