Electrical Engineer Level III Commercial Mixed Use

Partner Staffing is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Level III to lead the electrical design and analysis for commercial and mixed-use projects. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that electrical systems are designed to meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for commercial and mixed-use buildings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical designs with other building systems, participating in coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and optimize system performance.
- Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering, mentoring and guiding junior engineers and technicians, and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into electrical designs, exploring and implementing innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption and enhance system performance.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, presenting design concepts, providing technical recommendations, and addressing any client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the quality control process for electrical design and installation, conducting site inspections to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed electrical design documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports, maintaining comprehensive project documentation and ensuring all deliverables are completed on time.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on commercial and mixed-use projects, with experience in the Vancouver or BC market preferred.
- Proficient in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia is required.
