Job Overview

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Installing, repairing, assembling, and maintaining industrial machinery, equipment, and structural components. Interpreting and analyzing engineering schematics and blueprints. Utilizing complex blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications to ascertain necessary materials and procedures for the upkeep of machinery and equipment. Performing welding, brazing, soldering, cutting, and other metalworking tasks essential for maintenance and fabrication of new parts. Engaging in rigging and scaffolding activities; maneuvering heavy machinery and equipment; lubricating and servicing plant machinery. Conducting regular maintenance and safety inspections. Compiling and submitting maintenance documentation and reports.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician position should possess:

An Industrial Millwright License with Red Seal Endorsement. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Basic computer skills with the ability to log preventive maintenance activities. Strong troubleshooting abilities with a capacity to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Fundamental report writing and computer skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis. Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment. Effective time management skills.

Work Schedule:

7:30 am to 7:30 pm
