Plant Engineering Co-op Position

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering student to join our team at the IKO Brampton production facility. As a Co-op student, you will work closely with the Plant Engineer and the team to complete various plant tasks and improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Plant Engineer in completing plant tasks and improvement projects.
- Interact with vendors to obtain quotations and source services and parts.
- Design mechanical solutions to problems using 2D software.
- Perform general administration tasks, such as organizing documents and issuing purchase requisitions.
- Promote a safe culture through example and participate in hazard identification and safety audit activities.
- Support new and ongoing projects as part of the plant engineering team.
Qualifications:
- 1st to 4th year Mechanical Engineering student or 2nd/3rd year Mechanical Engineering Technology student.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with vendors and plant personnel.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using AutoCad software.
- Eagerness to learn and a curious mind.
