Job Title: Library Public Service Associate

Job Summary: As a key member of our team, you will create a welcoming and patron-centered experience by delivering responsive circulation and basic information services. You will also support library programming and understand and support community-led approaches. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to plan and organize tasks, and a commitment to representing the Library's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive circulation and basic information services to patrons.
  • Support library programming and events.
  • Understand and support community-led approaches.
  • Represent the Library's vision, mission, and values.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by relevant courses and/or experience.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Related experience in the provision of library services preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule. You must be available to work at any location in the VPL system.
