Mechanical Designer Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for advanced reactor technologies. This role is integral to the Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions division, focusing on the creation of innovative mechanical equipment that supports the generation of sustainable energy and essential medical isotopes.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Engage in the design process for automated and semi-automated machinery utilizing CAD tools
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure project success
  • Create detailed drawings, layouts, and material specifications
  • Assist in Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing activities
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations
  • Identify potential project challenges and propose effective solutions
  • Occasional travel to client locations may be necessary

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering with applicable design experience
  • Expertise in 3D parametric CAD software
  • Familiarity with drafting standards and GD&T principles
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the design of mechanical systems
