About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Getinge Canada, Ltd as a Field Service Technician, Surgical Workflows Specialist. As a key member of our Service team, you will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services to our customers in the surgical equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative maintenance and repair services to customers in accordance with established procedures and techniques.
  • Maintain all service contracts in accordance with service policies and procedures, and actively pursue the renewal of existing contracts.
  • Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures mandated by Getinge policies, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel.
  • Maintain personal competence for meeting job responsibilities by using product information and technical data from Getinge and others.
  • Participate in training seminars, meetings, and on-the-job training programs.
  • Document all activities in accordance with Service policies and procedures.
  • Maintain expenses and required inventory within guidelines and limits established by Getinge and the Regional Service Manager.
  • Protect company assets and maintain loaner and test equipment, spare parts inventory, and other company equipment and supplies in good condition and working order.
  • Provide services to customers in accordance with the terms, conditions, and responsibilities stated in Getinge's published warranty and maintenance contract policies.
  • Satisfactorily complete all training required by Getinge training and certification processes, regulatory bodies, and quality systems.
  • Provide customers with on-call availability, where applicable.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant business experience, including working in a high-volume field service environment.
