About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team at Synaptive. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies and objectives to ensure that quality materials are available at the most cost-competitive price while meeting our manufacturing demands in conjunction with inventory objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement plans to meet business requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and prices.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is optimized and that production demands are met.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reducing costs and lead times while improving service levels.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent certification in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or procurement.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global environment. Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP systems, with experience in procurement software a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or related certification.
  • Experience: Oracle NetSuite ERP experience in Purchase Order Module, Saved Searches, and MRP Module. Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset.
