Role Overview: The Interim Audit Senior plays a crucial role in executing a variety of audit projects, including key risk assessments, project risk evaluations, emerging risk audits, and financial controls testing. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality, professional, and risk-based audit services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit projects in line with departmental standards.
- Conduct interviews with management to understand the risks managed by business units and aid in developing audit programs to assess these risks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of controls and assist in the preparation of comprehensive audit reports, including executive summaries and actionable recommendations to enhance risk management practices.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and ensure follow-up on outstanding audit issues until resolution.
Qualifications:
- A recognized accounting (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or auditing (CIA) designation.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in internal/external auditing or equivalent business roles.
- Knowledge of banking operations is advantageous.
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes and their associated risks, with the ability to analyze situations and provide practical recommendations.
- Familiarity with audit methodologies, project management, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer focus and quality commitment.
- Ability to develop and implement audit programs that yield quality results within established timelines and budgets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with various business units and staff at all levels.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is between 00 CAD and $112,125.00 CAD, influenced by local market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education.
