About This Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join their team at Oceanview Family Practice. As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

The practice is attached to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, which has a team-based, patient-centered, and accessible vision for primary care. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the development of a patient-centered care model.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality primary health care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of patient care.
  • Participate in urgent care rotation to provide improved access to care for clinic patients.
  • Support the Dalhousie Family Medicine Residency program by teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Expected Hours
  • Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) for specialists.
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
