About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at The School House Early Care & Learning Centre INC. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding children's progress and needs.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
