Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The School House Early Care & Learning Centre INC. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement child-care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children's development and create individualized learning plans
  • Assist with housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe environment
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check
