We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Linos Construction Ltd. as a Construction Specialist. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of building construction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Building Layouts: Use measuring tools to create accurate layouts in conformance to building codes.
- Construct and Install Building Components: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Estimate costs and materials, and prepare tenders and quotations for construction projects.
- Survey Building Locations and Levels: Conduct site surveys to ensure accurate building locations and levels.
- Fit and Install Windows, Doors, Stairs, Mouldings, and Hardware: Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
As a Carpenter with Linos Construction Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, reliability, team player, and values and ethics.
