We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Assistant Certified Float to join our team at Watson Clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to AORN guidelines.
- Prepare the surgical field, including gathering supplies, positioning patients, and draping for maximum exposure.
- Retract tissues as directed by the physician, maintaining adequate exposure while ensuring patient safety.
- Closure of incisions, including identifying the correct suturing method and demonstrating competency in suturing and knot tying.
- Perform other surgical duties as assigned by the supervising physician, including assisting with intraoperative positions, injection of local anesthesia, and insertion of trocars.
- Assist with medical office duties, including summoning and preparing patients for office visits, administering medication, and documenting information in patient records.
- Graduate of an accredited school of OR technology or RN.
- Two years experience in a surgical environment.
- CST certification.
- CPR certification within three months of employment.
- Credentialing with LRH within six months of employment.
