Job Summary
Crown Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optics Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Fiber Optics Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of inner duct and fiber optics cable around airport runways, taxiways, and terminals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance in the installation of fiber optics and inner duct cables, ensuring they are handled and managed without damage.
- Operate and manage large cable reels, lubricate cables as they enter manholes, and assist in overall safety procedures.
- Receive on-site directions and instructions from team leads and engineers to ensure successful project completion.
- Utilize experience in communications and/or telecommunications, preferably with FAA communication equipment/systems installation and integration.
- Apply knowledge of manual and power tools, test equipment (multimeter, ohmmeter, power meter, oscilloscope, etc.), and climb antenna towers (feet or greater) as required.
- Independently recognize problems/issues encountered during installations, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to complete projects.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Ability to work in high-risk environments with active passenger aircraft movement nearby.
- Capacity to perform assigned work under severe time restraints.
