The City of Regina is seeking a Casual Recreation Worker to join our team in the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department. This is a casual, part-time position that will provide opportunities to perform planning, delivery, and evaluation of diverse and inclusive sport, culture, and recreation activities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare facilities, set up and take down equipment, and supervise the facility for scheduled bookings, programs, and special events.
- Monitor the building and ensure a safe and efficient operation of equipment, programs, and facilities.
- Deliver and evaluate diverse and inclusive sport, culture, and recreation activities for children and youth.
- Plan, organize, schedule, instruct, and evaluate program activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and be a positive role model for children and youth.
- Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR Level 'C' or St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid & CPR Level 'C' certification.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule, instruct, and evaluate program activities.
- Proven customer service skills and ability to be a positive role model for children and youth.
- Dependability and reliability, with the means to travel within the City.
- One (1) year post-secondary education in Kinesiology, Education, or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience working with children and youth in a recreation or education setting.
