Job Description

Stonewood Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Programmes to lead our programme management function. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all our programmes/projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in programme management, with experience in leading complex programmes in large, matrixed organizations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing programme management processes and disciplines, ensuring that programmes are selected, prioritized, linked, and executed to satisfy customer demand while achieving optimum benefits for the company.

You will be a strategic thinker, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to draw parallels across situations and contexts. You will be responsible for coordinating a multidisciplinary team, assessing team performance, and ensuring that they have the training, tools, and support to be successful.

The Director of Programmes will play a key role in ensuring that our programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for providing regular programme status updates to company management and escalating issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programme management processes and disciplines
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver programmes
  • Assess team performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Provide regular programme status updates to company management
  • Escalate issues as necessary
  • Develop and implement a system to measure continuous quality improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in programme management
  • Experience in leading complex programmes in large, matrixed organizations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw parallels across situations and contexts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Experience in the aerospace or defence industry
  • Hands-on design experience in reliability engineering, electronic packaging, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
  • Experience with project tracking and productivity tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
