About the Role

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to oversee the Addiction Services portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent position that will report to the Clinical Director of the Child, Youth and Emerging Adults Program and Addictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance integration and collaboration of services within the portfolio and across CAMH to improve effectiveness and access to care for patients.
  • Support a team of interdisciplinary staff and prioritize quality improvement initiatives while monitoring daily clinical operations of the services.
  • Be accountable for budget oversight of services, monitoring clinical volumes, allocating and redistributing resources, and reporting on quality metrics and scorecard targets.
  • Create a safe and healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Support the strong academic and research mandate of the organization and manage development opportunities in addition to supporting CAMH's vision of extending its reach as a world-class academic centre in mental health and addiction.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in a related field combined with at least one year of experience in a supervisory role supporting clinical management.
  • Registration in good standing with a College as a Regulated Healthcare Professional.
  • Specialized knowledge of mental health and addictions, with specific knowledge of the addictions medicine populations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and implement strategies to find the best approach or solution to diverse challenges.
  • A strong track record of developing partnerships and experience leading change management processes.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • The ability to manage budgetary and statistical data, as well as knowledge of human resource management practices in a unionized environment and experience with the performance review/management process.
