Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Architect to contribute to our client's strategic assessments in the realm of Information Capabilities. This role will primarily involve remote work, with occasional on-site requirements in the capital region as dictated by client needs.

The Senior Business Architect will play a pivotal role in enhancing the rigor of Force Development within the Information Capabilities portfolio. The primary goal is to create a comprehensive roadmap for all Information Capabilities over an extended timeline, utilizing the "Conceive, Design, Build and Manage" framework. The successful candidate will assist in conducting thorough analyses and developing a strategic roadmap for identified Information Capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the Information Capability (IC) demand management framework.
  • Gather, analyze, and monitor all Information Capability requirements across various timelines.
  • Conduct and document gap analyses of Information Capability development using Capability Maturity Models.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders to elicit capability needs and requirements, facilitating workshops and interviews to gather insights.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing the results of capability assessments, utilizing MS Office tools as directed.
  • Provide monthly progress reports summarizing significant activities, status updates, and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field such as sciences, engineering, or information management.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in identifying business architecture components and strategies.
  • At least five years of experience in analyzing and validating services and processes to support business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience in developing models and facilitating workshops to gather and validate findings.
  • Proficiency in business architecture methodologies such as Rational Unified Process (RUP) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
