AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our multidisciplinary Canadian Signals & Communications team. As part of the largest Rail & Transit team in Canada, we offer flexible work arrangements and opportunities for career growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project pursuits and prepare proposals to secure new business.
  • Plan and manage each stage of a project to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Identify necessary resources for Signals and Communications projects.
  • Develop project scope, identify deliverables, and prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
  • Lead project controls staff and project coordinators.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the project scope to identify scope creep.
  • Ensure timely communication throughout all project phases.
  • Comply with the AECOM Quality Management System methodology.
  • Participate in monthly project reviews.
  • Ensure all project close-out documents are submitted upon completion.
  • Act as a mentor to junior project management and controls professionals.
  • Enroll and obtain the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 6 years of relevant experience in project management in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience.
  • Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years or more of relevant experience in public rail and transit.
  • Strong technical knowledge in LRT and Freight rail.
  • Experience in State of Good Repair projects.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team skills.
  • Able to multitask due to concurrent projects.
