Retail Store Manager

Oriental Market and Grocery is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of store appearance and organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our store staff, including apprentices, sales associates, and design team members.
- Hiring and Training: Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and manage cash transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly stored and rotated.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role
Working Conditions:
- 30 to 35 hours per week
- Permanent position
- English language required
