Job Summary
The Hospitality Associate - Food Services (Acute Care) is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and hospitality services in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role requires a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with meal selection, service, and retrieval, ensuring their dietary needs and restrictions are met.
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meal trays and snacks, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
- Calculate modified diets, fluid restrictions, and calorie intake, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of patient meals.
- Perform various kitchen duties, including sanitation, setup, and temperature log maintenance, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Utilize an automated tablet to record and transfer meal selections to the computer system, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.
Requirements
- Completion of high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current and valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a host/hostess or in a related customer service role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic diet information and nutrition principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and management.
- Ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Proven attendance record and commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment.
