Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare meals in accordance with established standards, procedures, recipes, and menus, including special meals for therapeutic dietary needs.
  • Assist in food preparation for special events to ensure service quality meets established standards.
  • Report any shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the Executive Chef or supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cooking station and kitchen equipment, adhering to legislative and organizational standards.
  • Follow waste disposal procedures according to established guidelines for various materials.

Qualifications

  • Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Certificate.
  • Valid Food Handler's certificate.
  • Experience in large quantity food preparation.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed recipes and instructions.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and commitment to providing quality services to seniors.
