Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Regional Director of Quality and Patient Safety to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for spearheading the strategic planning, execution, and assessment of our clinical quality and patient safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an organizational quality and patient safety framework to support engagement of partners from point of care through planning and delivery.
- Lead a team and be responsible for the development and oversight of regional Quality & Patient Safety strategic portfolio priority(ies).
- Oversee and ensure that departmental strategies are aligned with VCH strategic priorities while building capacity across the organization.
- Represent VCH at provincial and national committees and organizations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided.
- Provide overall leadership and direction to team members using effective management techniques.
- Develop overall department budget to complement strategic directions within existing fiscal constraints.
- Promote a culture that encourages a healthy work environment, individual responsibility, and personal commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in a related health profession and ten years of recent, related experience in clinical quality and patient safety in a complex healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated compassionate leadership, comprehensive expertise in care theory, and knowledge of current and future healthcare issues.
