Principal, Actuarial Consulting

As a key member of our Actuarial Consulting practice, you will leverage your expertise to develop strategic long-term plans for our clients' defined benefits pension schemes. Your broad business and financial acumen, combined with your deep understanding of the pension landscape, will enable you to provide high-level actuarial consulting to address complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for clients' pension schemes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert actuarial advice to clients, leveraging your knowledge of pension schemes, risk assessment, financial projections, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and position TELUS Health as a leader in the market.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that delivers high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in pension plan consulting, with a professional actuarial designation such as FCIA, ASA, or FSA.
  • Strong understanding of pension schemes, actuarial standards of practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts effectively.
  • Proven leadership and client relationship management skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth and meet budget targets.
