Personal Care Assistant Role

As a Personal Care Assistant at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This position requires a strong commitment to providing compassionate and respectful care.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Administer prescribed medications as directed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Support clients in engaging in regular physical activities.
  • Collect medical specimens as needed.
  • Provide assistance with feeding or help clients during mealtimes.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Ensure personal care needs are met with dignity and respect.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: The role is physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks.
