Job Summary

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing and releasing various laboratory tests following established procedures and protocols. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely results, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of routine laboratory procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
  • Ensure sample identification and preparation for testing are correct before commencing tests.
  • Set up and adjust laboratory equipment, prepare standard and reagents, and monitor supplies.
  • Participate in internal and external quality control programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information and test results.
Requirements
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist registration in good standing with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and the Canadian Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTM).
  • Experience working in Chemistry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control documentation and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
