Job Summary

The Field Service Technician - Equipment Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the Cement/Redi-Mix and Aggregate plants. This role reports to the Field Service Supervisor and requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks and meet production requirements.
  • Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete batching systems, genie booms, boom trucks, forklifts, and other hand-powered tools.
  • Troubleshoot and test equipment at various locations in South Western Ontario.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment, including welding and fabrication as required.
  • Schedule maintenance along with production requirements.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and monitoring of all equipment.
  • Record and document work orders.
  • Install and commission new equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a trade related to equipment maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use of all tools of trade.
  • Practical working experience is an asset.
  • Strong work ethic and high motivation.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Minimum G2 License.
  • Detailed record-keeping abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to provide own standard tools.
  • Proficient with computers for record keeping.
