About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at GCS General Contracting Services Inc. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials Such as Concrete and Asphalt
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock on Construction Sites
  • Level Earth to Fine Grade Specifications
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Work
  • Remove Rubble and Other Debris at Construction Sites
  • Tend or Feed Machines or Equipment Used in Construction
  • Direct Traffic at or Near Construction Sites
  • Signal Safety Procedures to Other Workers and to the General Public
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service on Equipment
  • Operate Power Vibrators to Compact Concrete
  • Assist Skilled Tradespersons
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty, Cold/Refrigerated, Hot
  • Work Setting: Various locations
  • Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Overtime required
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
