We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Coaching team as an Assistant Coach for the Raptors 905. This role will provide support and assistance to our coaching staff, as well as participate in team practices and player development sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the coaching staff in developing and implementing game strategies.
  • Participate in team practices and player development sessions to help players improve their skills.
  • Ensure that players, equipment, and facilities are well-prepared and organized for games and practices.
  • Conduct projects as assigned by the Front Office and Coaching Staff.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, uphold confidentiality, and take pride in the organization, its people, and the role.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of coaching and/or playing experience in the G-league, NCAA basketball, or similar international experience.
  • Working understanding and awareness of the NBA, Gatorade League, Raptors 905, and Toronto Raptors.
  • Expertise in understanding of NBA Gatorade League Manual ensuring compliance with all rules, policies, and deadlines.
  • Sports Management or related Business degree is an asset.
  • Excellent administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to think quickly and act with urgency.
  • A creative self-starter, driven by results and alert to change.
  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • On-call availability with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent knowledge of Toronto and its surroundings.
  • Ability to work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
