Job Title: Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Baie Ste Anne Seafoods (2014) Inc.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fish plant, ensuring that all production processes are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of our production team, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, and implementing quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Prepare production and other reports as required.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or production role.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fish plant environment, exposed to dust, cold, and odours.
  • Work outdoors and in a noisy environment.
  • May be required to work overtime.
