Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Extendicare (Canada) Inc. as a Nursing Care Assistant.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nurse
  • Document resident care and progress in the medical record
  • Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent experience
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Immunization records and a Vulnerable Sector Check
