About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team at Donald Barnes. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in a care-related field is an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
