About the Opportunity

The Department of General Education at Mount Royal University invites applications for contract lecturer positions in the area of Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering foundation level courses that fall primarily into General Education's Cluster-Four, "Communications". We are seeking a qualified candidate with a well-developed understanding of liberal education and the ability to identify and address key debates under the Cluster's thematic orientation.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering foundation level courses in Communications, including Writing in a Digital Context and Writing about Images
  • Developing and implementing course materials that align with the General Education programme's thematic clusters
  • Providing high-quality instruction and assessment to students
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and maintain the General Education programme

Qualifications

Qualifications include a completed PhD or terminal degree in the area of Communications, or an MA with relevant experience. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of liberal education and the ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
