Job Summary:

The Security Guard Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our security team, ensuring the smooth execution of security protocols, and providing guidance and support to our security personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Work: Coordinate and schedule the work of security personnel to ensure adequate coverage and effective use of resources.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency situations, providing guidance and support to security personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with other work units and departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of security-related activities.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of computer equipment and machinery, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports and other documentation to management and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of security personnel, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Training: Train security personnel in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a security-related role.
  • Certifications: Security Guard License.

  • Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for clients and stakeholders.
  • Communication: Possess excellent oral communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with security personnel, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Reliability: Demonstrate a high level of reliability and accountability in performing duties and responsibilities.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Youth Support: Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth and support their development and growth.
  • Indigenous Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Work Environment:
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
